How to Root Samsung Galaxy S3

The Samsung Galaxy S3 comes equipped with a 4.8" HD Super AMOLED display and quad core processor, making the phones performance extremely smooth. It runs on android 4.3 Jellybean, one of the best operating systems out there. The screen resolutions accounts up to an extraordinary total of 720 x 1280 pixels, making the display quality crystal clear. The device is powered by the Samsun Exynos 4412 quad core processor providing high processing speeds at the rate of 1.4GHz. The Galaxy S3, also has a total battery life talk time of about 10 hours, being enough to last you through the day. The phone comes in 3 models classified based on internal memory: 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.

Make sure your phone is charged 70% at least.
Back up all your phone data. Click on the link to start downloads.

Files required
Download Odin from here & unzip it.

Download Philz CWM recovery from here.
Download Super User from here and transfer it to your phone.
Make sure you have the samsung drivers.

Follow the steps carefully:

1.Enable USB Debugging on your Samsung Galaxy Note II and Switch it off.
2.Turn on your Galaxy Note II by pressing the following button combination: Volume down + Home + Power. Keep the buttons pressed till the screen turns up and the warning screen appears. Now press the Volume Up key to enter the Download Mode.

3.Open the Odin folder and launch the program.

4.Now connect your device to computer via USB cable & wait till you see “Added!” message on Odin and the ID:COM port turns to light blue.
5.Click the AP button and select philz_touch_6.26.6-n7100.tar.md5 file.
6.Uncheck the Auto Reboot option on Odin & press the start button
7.Wait till the installation is finished and you see PASS! message on Odin. PhilZ CWM recovery has now been flashed to your phone. 
8. Now disconnect the cable and remove the battery & place it back again.
9.Now boot the device into recovery mode. Press and hold the Volume Up + Home +Power keys together till the screen turns up and the Samsung logo appears and disappears. Now release the Power button and keep other keys pressed till your Note 2 boots into PhilZ recovery mode.
10.Scroll to Install zip from sdcard option, navigate to UPDATE-SuperSU-vx.xx.zip and select it.

11.Confirm the installation and when the file is flashed to the device, go back to the main menu in recovery and select reboot after that.


Congrats, you have rooted your Samsung Galaxy Note II successfully.
