How to Root Galaxy Grand 2

The Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 comes equipped with a 5.25" HD Super AMOLED display and quad core processor, making the phones overall speed much much smoother than in predecessor. It runs on android 4.3 Jellybean, but can be upgraded to android 4.4 Kitkat, the latest version of the OS. The screen resolutions accounts up to a remarkable total of 720 x 1280 pixels, making the display quality simple magnificent and a pleasure to observe. The device is powered by the Samsun Qualcomm quad core processor providing high processing speeds at the rate of 1.2GHz. The Galaxy Grand 2, also has a total battery life talk time of about 17 hours, being more thanenough to last you through the day. The phone comes in 3 models classified based on internal memory: 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.

Make sure your phone is charged 70% at least.
Back up all your phone data.

Follow these steps:

1. Install Kies for usb drivers (but don't open it while doing this process)

2. Enable USB Debugging Mode on phone [Settings>> Developer options >> check USB Debugging Mode.]

3. Download CF-Auto-Root-ms013g-ms013gxx-smg7102.zip & only extract CF-Auto-Root-ms013g-ms013gxx-smg7102.tar.md5 from the zip file.



4. Download Odin3_v3.09.zip & extract Odin3_v3.09  and other files in this zip file.

5. Switch off your phone & open Odin3_v3.09 as administrator.

6. Now connect your phone to PC & you will see a message under Odin's message box in the bottom left saying "Added!!" 

7. Click AP button & select CF-Auto-Root-ms013g-ms013gxx-smg7102.tar.md5Make sure only Auto Reboot & F. Reset Time are checked.


8. Click the Start button. Once installation is done, your device will reboot automatically and soon you will see PASS message in the top left corner box of Odin. Now you can safely unplug your phone from PC.


If you find Super SU or Super User app in your phone's app drawer that means that your phone is rooted!!
